2017: Colorado Per Pupil Spending Continues to Fall Further from the U.S. Average - U.S. Census data
. Fiscal year 2014-15, Colorado's per pupil spending was over $2,100 dollars below the U.S. Average. Ten years prior, Colorado was about $1,400 below the U.S. Average.

 

The report: U.S. Census Bureau: Public Education Finances: 2013 (2015 Update). Colorado highlights:

  • Revenue Per Student: Colorado is $-2,061 below the US Average.
  • Spending Per Student: Colorado is $-2,053 below the US Average.
  • As Colorado has increased per pupil spending/revenue over the years, the US Average has increased more.
